Splice

Interesting concept, total DISASTER of a film.

Robin Hood 2010

Come on, its directed by Ridley Scott, going to see it was a must. I loved the angle that this film took. It wasn't merely, "take from the rich, give to the poor" it was about "Liberty by Law". The fight against an oppressive Government and Religion that makes the people unwilling subjects and slaves instead of free men. I have a feeling this is going to be the first of two Robin Hood films. Go see it. The parallels between the film and the political climate these days are very close.

Harry Brown

Huge fan on Michael Caine. This is a very dark indie film set in the UK. It is a revenge, actually a justice film. Just stunningly acted by one of the greats. Very gritty and does not leave much to the imagination. Always love when the good guys get a bit of payback.

Date Night

Actually, funnier than I thought it could be. Steve Carell is usually funny but most SNL movies suck really, really hard. This one did not. They also put an Audi R8 in the movie so I won't complain.

Repo Men

I really enjoyed this film. The homages to Blade Runner were nice touches, very good performances. The altered state ending I thought was a very interesting. Bloody, futuristic and dark.

Brooklyns Finest

Some great performances. Gritty as expected (Antoine Fuqua) and the multiple plot lines eventually diverging was great. I recommend.

Alice in Wonderland 2010

I love Tim Burton and I thought this was a very creative take on the old story. They kept the moral of the story and perhaps added to it. Great for adults and kids alike. Good for the imagination.

The Crazies

Can Timothy Olyphant do any wrong? Sure he is getting a bit typecast but man he is great on screen no matter what.

I am usually leery of remakes but I was excited to see this one due to the cast. It did not disappoint. I would have loved to see a bit more character development but I am very picky.

They kept the story contained and didn't try expand it and make it more than what it is. Shot very well and it kept me wondering what was to come next even though I really knew already what was waiting around the next corner.

The screeching of the pitchfork across the floor was genius.

Legion

I am a fan of Apocalypse films so I was already excited to see this film. Add in tons of gun play and some artistic license with Biblical prophecy and you have a fun and very entertaining film.

A big negative for me was Tyrese Gibson, please stop casting this guy, he can't act his way out of a wet paper bag, especially opposite of Paul Bettany.

From Paris With Love

If you are a lover of fast paced action flicks, you will love this film. If you are a politically correct moron that hates when America wins, even if it is in the form of a film, you will not like it.

John Travolta is really good, and the gun play was sweet!
